Producers of high-quality products

We work with existing cooperatives to support small-holder farmers in adopting best practices to bring out quality high-yielding produce. We turn these into quality value-added agricultural products for a ready market.
We grow food for all appetites: we work to bring out the best value-added products from any produce we can find.

Ficus tree

It is one of the most widely used in ornamental horticulture, ranking first in sales probably due to its adaptability and easy cultivation. Furthermore, it has a great value for its decorative leaves and the overall shape of the plant that makes it suitable for both indoor and outdoor gardens.

Tomato

How much time it takes for tomatoes to grow to maturity will depend on the variety of the tomato. For instance, you can plant a quick growing tomato such as the 4th of July Tomato, and you’ll be eating your first ripe tomato in as little as 49 days after transplanting. However, the number of days to maturity of tomatoes ranges anywhere from 60 days to more than 80 days.

Maize

The aim is to achieve a deep, loose seed-bed. Maize is a free-rooting plant so there needs to be no restriction on root development in the early stages. Crops that struggle with compaction then struggle to mature and achieve optimum yield. Farms with heavy soils often need to winter plough to achieve the correct seed-bed in the spring. But if there is a wet March, water can hold under the furrows and can take a long time to dry out.

Chilli Peppers

Let’s talk about growing chili peppers. Chili peppers start off a bit slow, so it is helpful to start to grow your plants indoors a few weeks (anywhere from 8-12 weeks) before transferring them outside. Keep the early soil and budding plants constantly moist, but do not over water.

Peppers

Growing peppers outdoors can be a good source of income. In a few words, pepper is a perennial plant, but growers, in most cases, treat it as an annual. Most commercial sweet pepper or chilies growers start the crop from seeds (hybrids) in an indoor protected environment. As they wait for the young seedlings to grow and be ready for transplanting, they prepare the soil.

Wild Olive

Olive trees are grown in warm, dry climates and olive harvest is collected in late fall, although in some varieties and in certain areas, the collection takes place in December. There are over 260 varieties of olive trees, among which 26 are the most representative varieties.

We also do contract farming on request.

AfikaiGh after production and aggregation would supply to various buyers under respective supply contracts. Under this arrangement, it would establish some MoU, Agreement or Contract with a prospective buyer under given set of terms and conditions. On the back of the agreements/contracts it would advise its partner farmer organization as to quantities of produce it would need for the ensuing season.
